A WILL BRINGS SECURITY, REASSURANCE AND ABOVE ALL PEACE OF MIND – NOT JUST FOR YOU, BUT FOR ALL THOSE WHO DEPEND ON YOU, EITHER NOW OR IN THE FUTURE
Our aim is to give you a straightforward service that you will understand. It is our job to consider your wishes and needs and to ensure that your Will accurately reflects them.
Why make a Will? Everyone should have a Will regardless of how wealthy they are.
Making a Will is the only way to ensure that your wishes are carried out after your death. If you have not made a valid Will your property will pass according to the Law of Intestacy. This may not be what you want and may not actually take care of those closest to you.
If you are SINGLE you will want your estate divided between the people of your choosing and in the shares you want. This may not be your immediate family.
If you are married, do not assume your spouse will get everything. They may not. Also, if this is not your first marriage, you should be thinking about what happens if they do get everything and any children from your previous marriage/s are overlooked.
If you are co-habiting, do not assume your partner will get anything. The “Common Law Wife/Husband” is a myth and has no legal standing. Failure to make proper Wills could leave your partner having to fight for what should rightly be theirs at a time when they are trying to cope with the loss of a loved one.
If you are a parent, have you thought about who will look after your children if you die before they are adults. This is especially important for single parents. Under the laws of intestacy is there a chance that your ex-spouse could inherit your Estate through lack of planning?
